hermo Fisher Scientific announced the launch of Invitrogen™ UltraComp eBeads™ Spectral Unmixing Beads, a breakthrough solution designed to deliver unmatched accuracy and reliability in both spectral and conventional flow cytometry.
Flow cytometry is a critical tool for analysing cellular phenotypes and functions to better understand disease mechanisms and develop targeted therapies. Traditional solutions, however, often struggle with false positives and negatives, autofluorescence, and background interference that compromise results.
UltraComp eBeads™ overcome these limitations by behaving like real cells, reducing autofluorescence, and enhancing fluorochrome signal clarity — enabling researchers to confidently separate overlapping fluorescent signals, detect rare cell populations, and achieve consistent performance across high-parameter experiments.
“With this launch, scientists now have access to advanced compensation beads that perform like real cells and are compatible with the existing line of spectral and conventional flow cytometers in the market, including our recently introduced Attune™ Xenith™ Flow Cytometer,” said Trisha Dowling, Vice President/General Manager, Flow and Imaging Technologies at Thermo Fisher Scientific. “With distinct separation of fluorochrome signals and fewer errors in flow cytometry data analysis, researchers will be able to confidently detect and quantify cell populations in their studies. We’re proud to support critical research that advances our understanding of some of the most pressing diseases.”
