Merck Life Science  unveiled its Formulation & Technology Centre in Turbhe, Navi Mumbai. As a key part of Merck’s global R&D network, this next-generation facility will serve as a hub for industry collaboration, equipping pharmaceutical companies with advanced tools to optimize drug formulation and accelerate time-to-market across India, APAC, Middle East, and Africa.

The Formulation & Technology Centre intends to function as a technology storefront, offering advanced formulation and processing solutions to address the growing demand for complex drug formulations. More than being just a lab; it is a space where knowledge meets practice. The facility is designed to bridge the gap between research and commercial production, helping pharmaceutical manufacturers navigate patent challenges and enhance their product pipelines.  Customers will have access to hands-on training, technical consulting, and tailored solutions designed to tackle challenges in formulation development, production scaling, and troubleshooting.

Dr. Jitendra Kumar Managing Director, Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) and Ms. Archana Jatkar, Associate Secretary General, Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance attended the launch event virtually of the Formulation & Technology Centre, while key dignitaries, including H E Mr. Achim Fabig, Consul General, German Consulate Mumbai; Mr. Stefan Halusa, Director General, Indo-German Chamber of Commerce; Mr. Makarand Avachat, Executive Vice President, Pharma Research, Lupin Ltd. joined Merck’s leadership team.
