Despite challenges, progress has been made. Seventeen countries introduced high-performance screening tests, and 28 Member States implemented nationwide HPV vaccination. This year's theme, "Together, we challenge those in power," emphasizes universal access to cancer prevention and care, regardless of socioeconomic status, location, age, or gender.

Dr. Moeti calls on countries, communities, partners, and civil society to unite for universal access to cancer prevention and care. Leaders are urged to deploy cost-effective technologies and therapies, utilizing WHO Best Buys. Strengthening information systems for quality data is essential, and civil society, especially cancer survivor organizations, plays a critical role in the fight against cancer.
