Prashansa brings more than 15 years of insurance industry experience across both underwriting and broking. Her most recent role was at Marsh Singapore where she led the Asia Life Sciences team managing major accounts and focusing on Complex Casualty, Directors & Officers and Cyber risks.

Beazley has been extending its Miscellaneous Medical & Life Sciences offering internationally in recent years having become an established market in North America for more than two decades. In Asia, this has included the launch in 2020 of Beazley’s pioneering Virtual Care product, which provides cover for health and technology-related risks facing digital health and wellness professionals. Beazley intends to introduce a tailored professional liability offering for the life sciences sector in Asia in 2021.

Prashansa’s deep market knowledge and experience will help us to build compelling offerings that provide protection and support growth as the healthcare and life sciences markets in Asia develop.”

Lucien Mounier, Beazley’s Head of Asia Pacific, said: “As we introduce more specialist products to Asia, we are building a great team of underwriters who know this market well and have strong relationships with brokers and clients. Prashansa brings demonstrable leadership and experience and will be instrumental as we build our healthcare and life sciences footprint.”
