Chen Wei, Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, President of Jiangnan University and Director-General of the National Engineering Research Center for Functional Food (NERCFF), stated, "The signing of this agreement symbolizes a joint effort that will amplify the complementary advantages of universities and enterprises through a robust alliance. The collaboration aims to exert a more positive and far-reaching impact on the entire industry and on consumer health. It marks a new beginning for our shared vision and launches a new journey to deepen collaboration between educational institutions and businesses."
At the event, both parties signed a cooperation agreement, formally establishing the Infinitus-Jiangnan University Collaborative Innovation Research Center for Chinese Herbal Medicine and Probiotics. The launch ceremony that followed signified the beginning of a new phase of strategic cooperation between Infinitus and Jiangnan University, concentrating on the intersection of Chinese herbal medicine and probiotics.
Li Wenzhi, Research Director of Frontier Technology Research at Infinitus (China), delineated the achievements to date and the anticipated direction of the partnership. He noted, "Over the past six years, we have assembled a complete system for the development and application of functional probiotics, a success that led to the selection and cultivation of three strains and combinations that are compatible with the Chinese population's unique gut flora. The effort has led to the acquisition of eight patents in China and the United States. Going forward, we will focus on devising novel products tailored for Chinese consumers by combining probiotics with Chinese herbal medicine."
