Veeva Launches European Reference Data for the Entire Healthcare Ecosystem

Expanded databases help biopharmaceutical companies reach new customers and support a more personalized engagement

 Veeva Systems (NYSE: VEEV)today announced that it will expand Veeva OpenData's customer base data across Europe to connect new email, demographic and public inquiry data across the full spectrum of key healthcare stakeholders. With more data in Veeva CRM, OpenData helps biopharmaceutical sales teams eliminate data silos, reach new customers, and provide insights into more personalized interactions with healthcare providers (HCPs).

Adopted by more than 70 European customers and the world's top 20 pharmaceutical companies, OpenData helps teams in the field effectively maintain compliance through comprehensive and reliable data about each customer and their affiliations. Over the next year, OpenData will add several new data assets and hundreds of other data stewards in Europe to give life sciences companies a more complete and accurate view of their customer references, including coverage of:

  • Healthcare Ecosystem Influencers:Extended beyond traditional HCP, OpenData now includes more than 120,000 additional stakeholders across the healthcare landscape. Companies can integrate reference data on nurses, patient representatives, digital influencers, guideline creators, researchers and scientific experts with pre-linked data from Veeva Link for deeper intelligence on key people.
  • Verified HCP emails:New verified email addresses and unified IDs for European HCPs facilitate digital engagement. Available this quarter for France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK, and for other European markets next year.
  • Demographics: Socio-economic indicators, such as population density and income levels, help sales teams allocate resources more accurately and personalize customer engagement.
  • Public data on requests: New data assets from public sources, including prescription data and patient metrics, can support advanced analytics to drive and better actions for more efficient and effective communications.
  • Reference data in multiple countries: OpenData is also expanding coverage to 21 new countries in Europe and the Middle East,and more than 40 worldwide. Its direct coverage will extend to 70 countries around the world next year, including Asia and Latin America,with additional data from certified partners forAfrica and select markets.
