Pioneering sustainability, VERDOT will offset the total carbon footprint of its chromatography columns and stainless purification skids, continuing over a decade of industry-leading emission reductions.

VERDOT Announces Carbon Compensation Initiative for 2025

  • Over ten years of carbon footprint analysis and reduction for direct and indirect emissions
  • Reaching one of the lowest levels in the industry with an average of 100 TeqCO2 / M€ revenue
  • Beginning in 2025, all chromatography column and stainless purification skids will have their specific manufacturing total carbon footprint established
  • VERDOT manufactured products will have a carbon neutral footprint as the company will offset the remaining carbon emission impact

VERDOT is proud to announce its new Carbon Compensation Initiative, set to begin in 2025. This initiative aims to further reduce the company's carbon emissions by ensuring that each chromatography column and stainless purification skid is delivered as carbon neutral. The residual carbon footprint of these products will be systematically calculated and offset through a partnership with an accredited carbon credit provider.

For over ten years, VERDOT has been conducting carbon footprint analysis for direct (scope 1 and 2) and indirect emissions (scope 3), achieving one of the lowest carbon emission footprints in the bioprocessing manufacturing industry. Since 2014, the company has averaged a remarkable 100 TeqCO2 per million euros revenue for both direct and indirect emissions.

The goal of this initiative is to bring awareness to the environmental impact of the industry and propose responsible and sustainable approaches for both VERDOT and its customers to reduce the carbon emissions produced. Over the last 10 years VERDOT has conducted continuous efforts in reducing its impact through eco-design, energy saving, and supplier selection.

VERDOT will partner with Stock CO2, a B Corp-certified operator specializing in the development of local carbon offsetting projects certified under the Bas-Carbone
Label by the French Ministry of Ecological Transition.

Stock CO2 will certify that VERDOT’s Carbon Compensation Initiative system meets the guidelines and criteria required to receive carbon credit.

"VERDOT has been at the forefront of sustainability with a low-environmental impact mindset from concept to manufacturing and supply. As pioneers in carbon emission reduction, we aim to lead by example and contribute to the industry's global effort to combat climate change," said Charles Ruban, CEO of VERDOT.
