Thermo Fisher Expands Strategic Partnership with Sanofi through Acquisition of Ridgefield Sterile Manufacturing Site

Acquisition of Sanofi’s state-of-the-art New Jersey facility adds U.S. drug product capacity, strengthens Thermo Fisher’s sterile fill-finish network, and supports rising pharma and biotech demand.

Expanded Strategic Partnership Enables Additional U.S. Manufacturing Capacity to Serve Increased Demand for Pharma/Biotech Customers

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. (NYSE:TMO), the world leader in serving science,  announced the completion of its acquisition of Sanofi’s state-of-the-art sterile fill-finish and packaging site in Ridgefield, New Jersey, marking an expansion of the companies’ strategic partnership to enable additional U.S. drug product manufacturing. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. The Ridgefield facility is now part of Thermo Fisher's pharma services business within its Laboratory Products and Biopharma Services segment.

Under the agreement, Thermo Fisher will continue to manufacture a portfolio of therapies for Sanofi at the Ridgefield site while expanding use of the site to meet the growing demand for U.S. manufacturing capacity from pharma and biotech customers.
