Actair Study in China

On May 22nd, 2026, Nuance Pharma announced that the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) has cleared its Investigational New Drug (IND) application, designed to initiate a pivotal clinical trial of Actair® for the treatment of house dust mite-induced allergic rhinitis in China.

In October 2026, Nuance Pharma announces the first patient dosed in the REACH Phase III trial, a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Actair® over a 12-month treatment period in patients with allergic rhinitis, with or without concomitant asthma.

"We are excited to announce the first patient dosing in the REACH Phase III trial. Together with the progress made through our early access programs, this achievement moves us one step closer to delivering a new allergy treatment to Chinese patients," said Mark Lotter, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Nuance Pharma. "Actair® offers an innovative approach to treating house dust mite allergy, and we look forward to introducing this innovation in China as soon as possible," said Dr. Charlie Chen, Chief Operating Officer of Nuance Pharma.

"We are pleased our development partner, Nuance Pharma, has begun pivotal studies with Actair® in mainland China," said Anette Weber, Chief Executive Officer a.i. of Stallergenes Greer. "This is a significant achievement and, given Actair®'s established commercial track record across 21 countries, we are excited about its potential to address the growing demand for innovative allergy treatments among Chinese patients."

The first patient dosing follows a series of recent milestones reinforcing Nuance Pharma's commitment to the Chinese allergy market. In September 2025, the company entered into an exclusive long-term partnership with Stallergenes Greer for the development and registration of Actair® in China, with Nuance Pharma retaining responsibility for subsequent commercialization. In January 2026, Actair® received approval from the Pharmaceutical Administration Bureau of Macau. In May 2026, Nuance Pharma launched Actair® in China's Hainan Boao Pilot Zone through an early access program. Most recently, in May 2026, the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) has cleared Actair® Investigational New Drug (IND) application.
