Throughout the four days, UK Government and healthcare leaders will explore collaborations and partnerships within the GCC; helping the UK to further strengthen trade ties with the region.
The event programme will also demonstrate the importance of UK and UAE relationships, revealing the UK innovators and organisations that offer advice and collaborations to Middle East hospitals and health systems in a variety of ways.
During the week, DIT will welcome a number of key senior government leaders from the National Health Service (NHS), the Department for International Trade (DIT) and the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC).
In addition, DIT will be bringing 10 NHS Organisations to connect and share their expertise with other healthcare experts from across the region, alongside a delegation of some of the UK’s leading digital health, medtech and life sciences innovators, allowing visitors to see how their cutting-edge solutions can tackle certain of the major challenges of modern healthcare.
Simon Penney, His Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for the Middle East and Pakistan, said:
“Today’s healthcare challenges are universal. The UK plays a leading role in convening solutions to address these issues. One of our ambitions at Arab Health this year is to collaborate with partners, sharing our learnings, and highlighting the role that innovation and sustainability play in the future of healthcare. We will do this by discussing our shared challenges – including cancer and mental health – in our UK seminars. We invite you to discover the best of British innovation at Arab Health and to join us to explore new opportunities for collaboration.”
Hosted by DIT experts, the series of events will encourage shared learning, and enable health experts to debate key issues. The aim is to provide opportunities for both the UK and GCC healthcare and life sciences organisations, and other healthcare providers in the region, to explore new opportunities and collaborations – while demonstrating the challenges and successes the UK has in these key areas.
The sessions include:
At Arab Health 2023, the UK Pavilion stand will be located in Hall 2 E30, with the Healthcare UK stand located in Hall 6 B70.
Organised by the Department for International Trade (DIT) and the Association of British HealthTech Industries (ABHI), the UK Pavilion stand hosts simulations and presentations that will run for the full four days and celebrate collaborations between healthcare providers, clinicians, NHS Trusts and healthcare technology companies.
