With a stellar career across Eppendorf, Leica Microsystems, Hitachi Data Systems, and Siemens Medical Solutions, van Pelt is set to drive Qiagen's strategic expansion and innovation in molecular diagnostics and research.

Eva van Pelt has a distinguished career in the healthcare and life sciences industries, having held several high-level positions across various prominent companies. Her experience spans a range of roles, including leadership positions at Leica Microsystems, Hitachi Data Systems, and Siemens Medical Solutions, before her involvement with Eppendorf and now, Qiagen.

At Danaher Corporation's Leica Microsystems, she served as the Managing Director for the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region, overseeing operations and contributing to the company's strategic direction in these territories. This role likely involved managing a complex organizational structure and navigating the diverse regulatory and market landscapes across these regions.

Before her tenure at Leica Microsystems, van Pelt was involved with Hitachi Data Systems, where she led the Healthcare and Life Sciences sector for the EME region. Her responsibilities would have included developing and implementing strategies to grow the company's footprint in the healthcare and life sciences sectors, improving customer engagement, and driving innovation.

Earlier in her career, she directed the Health Services and Global Solutions unit at Siemens Medical Solutions in The Hague, Netherlands. This position would have required a deep understanding of healthcare technology and services, as well as the ability to lead teams in developing solutions that meet the needs of healthcare providers and patients.

Now, as she joins the Supervisory Board of Qiagen, van Pelt brings a wealth of experience and expertise from her past roles. Qiagen, a leading provider of sample and assay technologies for molecular diagnostics, applied testing, academic and pharmaceutical research, will benefit from her extensive background in managing and growing healthcare and life sciences businesses across different regions. Her strategic vision and leadership skills will be invaluable as Qiagen continues to expand its global presence and impact in the field.
