The life science company Sartorius will pay a total of around 20 million euros in special bonuses to employees in appreciation of their substantial commitment and special achievements in 2021. In Germany, this bonus will be 1,500 euros for each employee.
“The second exceptional year under pandemic conditions is coming to a close. The massively increased demand for our innovative solutions that are used in the development and production of vaccines and medicines has been challenging for our employees. They have gone the extra mile, or rather many extra miles, this year to ensure that we can reliably supply our customers with much needed products, and we would like to thank them very much for their efforts. As recognition for and appreciation of their work, Sartorius will again pay a special bonus to all employees,” said Sartorius Executive Board Chairman and CEO Joachim Kreuzburg.
The special bonus applies to more than 13,000 employees across the globe and will be paid out in December 2021. Last year, Sartorius had already paid a total of 10 million euros in coronavirus bonuses to more than 10,000 employees at that time.
